A Pig's Life

New Pretty Window

This is the new stain glass my Mom made for me. I like it because it kinda reminds me of all those amazing Hubble pictures of space. She let me pick the pattern and everything. My Mom is so talented. She can do anything. Love you Mom!

Photo Op

I was taking the picture of the stain glass and Scooter sat his little tail down in the window and waited for me to take his picture. When he sees a camera, he gets ready to work it. Maybe Scooter is a little spoiled? :)

First Night Home

This pic is from the day Scooter came to live with me. It was December 1, 2004. He was so tiny and I was so scared that Cindy was going to eat him for a snack. I remember I took him into my room and put all this food out for him and stood there with the camera waiting for him to eat. It was so awesome. Scoot was so tiny that he could not even walk down the little step that goes into the backyard. I had to help him do everything. I loved it. The World was a completely new thing to Scooter, and I got to watch him discover it all.

Hubble Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Spectacular New Images

During the 15 years NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has orbited the Earth, it has taken more than 700,000 photos of the cosmos; images that have awed, astounded and even confounded astronomers and the public. NASA released new views today of two of the most well-known objects Hubble has ever observed: the Whirlpool Galaxy (spiral galaxy M51) [left] and the Eagle Nebula [right]. These new images are among the largest and sharpest Hubble has ever taken. They were made with Hubble's newest camera, the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS). The images are so incredibly sharp, they could be enlarged to billboard size and still retain stunning details. Check out the Hubble Gallery here.
